SATYANANDA MATH was formed in 1991 in honour of my guru, Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati whose sankalpa was  “Serve, Love, Give ” and the foundation stone for all his activities in Rikhiapeeth, India.

Take care of the needs of others, and your needs will be taken care of, take care of the prosperity of others and your prosperity will be taken care of, take care of the liberation of others and your liberation will be taken care of. Serve the poor, give food to the hungry ones, care for the sick ones, go from door to door and see what their problems are, this is the only way to reach peace… One doesn’t need to know anything else. The secret is just to put it into practice.

Shelter for battered women

Phoebe is a women’s shelter which offers its services to abused women and single mothers, providing assistance and accommodation. SATYANANDA MATH – Amba works with the shelter in order to support their invaluable work, offering material and financial assistance on a monthly basis.

How you can participate

Become a volunteer and be part of the team by assisting in any of the projects. SATYANANDA MATH - Amba welcomes all people who can offer their ‘head, heart and hands', as well as their time, expertise and general goodwill. The charitable activities of Satyananda Math–Amba include many service projects in partnership with local community organizations throughout Greece. All ideas for new projects which can further SATYANANDA MATH - Amba's aims and objectives are welcome.
Make a financial donation. SATYANANDA MATH - Amba has no funding of its own. The total amount of the donation made is forwarded to the project of your choice and there are no administrative fees.
Become a participant in SATYANANDA MATH - Amba events. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish (Make-A-Wish Greece) an organization that supports seriously and critically ill children whose wish is made real through the donations they receive.
